Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

HeroNest helps families see, value, and share the work of running a home. We built it to be a calm, private space — not a surveillance tool, not an advertising business. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have.

The short version

What we collect

How we use it

Solely to provide the app: to sync your household across devices, show your summaries, deliver the two optional notifications (a thanks alert and a weekly summary), and process the text you submit to quick-add so it can be turned into tasks. We do not profile you or sell anything.

Children

HeroNest includes a Kids Mode. Child profiles are created and managed by a parent or guardian. Children do not provide an email or create an account; a child's device, if used, is linked by the parent and is limited to that child's own activity. We never show children monetary values, contribution comparisons, or advertising, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Service providers

We use Supabase to store and sync your household data, and (where you opt in) Expo's push service to deliver notifications and an AI provider to interpret quick-add text. These providers process data only to perform that function. We do not authorise them to use your data for their own purposes.

Your choices

Data retention

We keep your data while your household is active. When you delete data in the app, it is removed from our systems; backups age out on a rolling basis.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is restricted to your household through row-level security. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes

If we update this policy we will revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
