Delete your HeroNest account

You can permanently delete your HeroNest account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app. This page explains how, and exactly what is deleted.

How to delete your account in the app

Open HeroNest and go to Settings (the gear icon, top right).
Scroll to Your data.
Tap "Delete my account", then tap again to confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately. The app returns to the welcome screen.

What is deleted

Your sign-in account (email) is permanently removed.
Your household and all of its content: task logs, plans, appreciations ("thanks"), family member profiles and names, avatars and any uploaded profile photos, settings, and any linked child-device connections.
Push notification tokens.

What is kept

Nothing identifying you is retained after deletion. Anonymised crash diagnostics already sent to our error-tracking service (Sentry) are retained for up to 90 days as part of routine log rotation, then deleted.

Deleting data without deleting your account

You can also delete individual task entries, or delete your entire household while keeping your sign-in account, from the same Settings screen. You can export your data first from Settings → Your data → Export.

Can't access the app?

If you no longer have the app installed, email support@heronest.app from the address you signed in with, and we will delete your account and data for you.
